Work Safe : Work Smart

Protecting each other and our planet

for everyone we care for

Throughout our organisation, the goal is to ensure the continued health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, contractors and members of the public through the promotion of a positive, active safety culture.

Health and safety is a core value of our organisation. To maintain our industry leading performance, we implement the following standards:

  • Project planning
  • Active monitoring
  • Daily contractor and subcontractor meetings
  • Monthly project EHS meetings
  • Site safety board
  • Hazard posters
  • Toolbox talks
  • Weekly safety reports to the client

TSL invest heavily in training and ensuring the competence of its employees. Our subcontractor partner teams are also required to meet our training standards.

Eleven Consecutive RoSPA Awards

TSL has been awarded the RoSPA President’s Award two years running for outstanding Health & Safety performance over a period of more than eleven years.

David Bell, Group EHS Director, and the wider Health & Safety team have worked tirelessly to ensure our ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with TSL and this latest award demonstrates the team’s success.

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Accreditations

TSL holds valid accreditation and membership with the Safe Contractor and Avetta SSIP. Maintaining membership of these schemes requires an annual audit to be successfully completed. Other memberships include RoSPA and the British Occupational Health Society (BOHS). We are also accredited with ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018 and we are always striving towards exceeding these standards.

Membership of these schemes provides us with information on potential new legislation and industry innovations, employee wellbeing initiatives and training information.
