TSL Outstanding HSQE Performance Award – Q2 2023

Our quarterly HSQE Performance Award is designed to recognise our valued supply chain partners for their contribution to sustaining our high standards for safety. A set of KPIs give consistency and reduced bias in the reporting of performance and, using the data from Quarter Two 2023, the HSQE team have identified the top performer as Phoenix ME Ltd .

“The standards and expectations of the Phoenix ME management team has been clear to see since arriving on Project Armagh. From initial site set up to putting their working practices live, Phoenix have implemented a seamless transition from paper to physical works on site.

With that being said, there have been a number of unforeseen circumstances over the past few months, including working with external subcontractors, collaborating and coming together in unity to achieve what is needed for the project goals. Amongst this adversity it is refreshing to see a contractor insistent on maintaining their embedded safety culture and due diligence in carrying out high risk works safely and responsibly in a public domain.

Raj Loatey and the team have also demonstrated their ability to apply lessons learned from incident investigations to continually improve on their daily operations. From a procedural point of view, paperwork and documentation has always been submitted in a timely manner without fail and every effort has been made to plan ahead to raise any concerns or items of note to the TSL team. I am pleased to say Phoenix ME have made an outstanding contribution to Health and Safety at Project Armagh and this deserves and should be recognised.” – Graham Wise, Senior HSQE Manager.
