TSL has become a key construction partner to Lidl for their multi-chamber Regional Distribution Centres. These projects are delivered as turnkey solutions including ammonia refrigeration systems. ​

The Lidl Luton project is the largest project that TSL has constructed so far and is the biggest Lidl warehouse in the world at 120,700m2. The building consists of a mix of temperature cold rooms, ambient racking storage, 5,000m2 freezer, 16,000m2 MHE mezzanine and 7m deep 14,000m2 basement which houses a 35m high clad rack storage solution integrated with MHE systems, giving an 80,000 pallet storage capacity.

To understand the sheer size of this project, here are some interesting stats:

• The building is 50 double decker buses in length
• The same size as 33 football pitches
• There are over 114,000 pallet spaces
• Lidl can serve 153 local stores from this RDC

This RDC is unmissable when travelling on the M1 past Luton.
