Embarking on this complex project was both daunting and exciting at the same time, so finding the right partner that understood our needs was crucial. TSL helped us change the building specification and provided a phased approach which included cost modelling. There were enormous constraints and complexities at all stages of the build, which had to be planned and managed so that we could continue production. Working with the onsite management team was a real pleasure. They had a can do/will do attitude and dealt with alterations/modifications in a professional and constructive way. TSL delivered a first class facility which we are proud of and I look forward to working with them again on Phase Two.

Tims Dairy is a family business based in Chalfont St Peter who has been making award-winning fresh yoghurt since 1949.

In order for them to meet the growing demand, it was necessary for the Tims Dairy team to expand their existing facility whilst maintaining their ongoing production.

Tims Dairy chose TSL to work with their team to understand their future process requirements and to review the layout of their facility, to maximise efficiency, whilst allowing a phased approach to ease capital requirement.

TSL worked with the local planners to accommodate the production extension sympathetically to fit with the outstanding countryside of the Chiltern Hills. TSL also worked with the Tims team to reconfigure areas between the new extensions and provide a new layout including the mechanical and electrical systems.

TSL went on to extend the facility and refurbish the existing dairy. This included the demolition of a former stable block and replacement with a new extension to form a new production area and incorporating a mezzanine level with an office and laboratory. Externally, new loading bay access was provided.

The services provided included feasibility, cost management, design, construction and fit-out of new and existing premises.

This project was successfully completed in February 2018.
