TSL Delivers New Jet2 Engineering Hangar at Manchester Airport

New engineering hangar at Manchester Airport, delivered by TSL for Jet2, has officially opened

The new engineering hangar at Manchester Airport, delivered by TSL for Jet2, has officially opened — marking a significant milestone for both teams. The multi-million-pound facility will play a critical role in supporting Jet2’s ongoing operations and future growth.

The project involved the demolition of a previous facility and a complete rebuild, resulting in a state-of-the-art hangar covering over 6,300 square metres. The space accommodates up to three aircraft simultaneously, with capacity for six across both Jet2 hangars at the airport. The building also features an Apprentice Training Suite, providing workshops and classrooms for Jet2’s growing team of more than 30 engineering apprentices.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy commented:

“The construction of our new hangar at Manchester Airport enhances our in-house maintenance capabilities even further and is fantastic news for our operation. This world-class facility represents a significant investment and means we are bringing more brilliant engineering colleagues into our business to support our continued growth and success.”

Jackie Wild, Group CEO of TSL said: “Having worked closely and collaboratively with the Jet2.com team throughout the project, we are delighted to have safely completed this highly prestigious facility at Manchester Airport on time and on budget. TSL is proud to be supporting Jet2.com’s continued growth strategy through the completion of this new engineering hangar.”

This project underscores TSL’s expertise in delivering complex, high-value aviation infrastructure, built to support innovation, efficiency, and client growth.
