Continuous Improvement is a simple concept, to improve processes and ways of working, however to implement changes effectively it is important to study, plan, implement and constantly evolve in order to achieve real improvement.
The benefits of working with a company that has a robust continuous improvement model include:
- Improved quality
- Improved efficiency and productivity – Keeping your programme on time and on budget
- Improved client experience
- Innovative ideas in design and construction
- Improved safety on site
Always check that the company you chose for your project has a Continuous Improvement Team, with the culture embedded into the way of life, not a one-time program.
Innovative ideas and a culture of safety are founded from improvement debates and it is important for the improvement team to work with all members of staff, discussing progress that has been made in the previous year, gathering any ideas from the wider team and to discuss future plans.
At TSL our team work together to continually improve all aspects of the business, from document management right through to construction and aftercare. The Continuous Improvement Team hold regular meetings to discuss continuous improvement throughout the company and work to proven continuous improvement models.
Once a year TSL close all of the project sites and all offices for one day to host the annual Continuous Improvement and Health and Safety Conference to include every team member.
We promote continuous improvement throughout the company and encourage all team members to put forward ideas that they have. A dedicated email address has been setup to allow all team members to email their ideas to the Continuous Improvement Team.
TSL also encourage our clients to provide continuous improvement suggestions and feedback. This feedback is captured, taken on board and actioned allowing TSL to improve when working with new clients or repeat business with existing clients.
For TSL, continuous improvement is a way of life. Our clients will ultimately benefit from a company that strives to improve, is able to critique their own work and keep ahead of the game.
